Sunscreen cream or sunscreen oil ?
Before we talk about the benefits of sunscreen oil, we'd like to clarify its composition in comparison with sunscreen cream. When we have to decide between sunscreen cream and sunscreen oil, we often look at the composition of the product. In reality, there is no real difference between sunscreen oil and sunscreen cream when it comes to ingredients.
Based on the same SPF index, the UV filters in sunscreen oil are just as effective as those in sunscreen cream. You should also be aware that the basic ingredients are often the same.
The only real difference between sunscreen cream and sunscreen oil is the texture. Sunscreen oils are relatively greasy. Some like it, others not so much. The added value of the oil : its shiny, satiny appearance to make your skin look its best.
The benefits of sunscreen oil for your skin
To better protect your skin, it's essential to use a fairly generous amount of oil. Too many people are in the habit of applying too little product because of its very fluid texture.
Among other things, using a sunscreen oil helps to prevent skin ageing from accelerating and to avoid the appearance of brown spots. Sunscreen oils can have different SPF protection levels.
There are 4 levels of protection :
- Low protection : SPF 6 to 10
- Medium protection : SPF 15 to 25
- High protection : SPF 30 to 50
- Very high protection : SPF 50 +
Nourishing, moisturising and shimmering, sunscreen oil is a genuine skin care product. Between perfecting the tan and protecting the skin, many oils also help accelerate melanin synthesis. Its pleasant, satiny, non-sticky texture has won it many fans. The little extra is the very pleasant coconut-like fragrance.
